Adult High School
ADULT HIGH SCHOOL
- The Adult High School provides a way for students to complete the needed requirements for their high school diploma. Many students need only a Reading or Math test, and Adult High School is a great option for this situation.
- The State of Florida requires a student to complete either 18 or 24 credits to earn a diploma.
- The Adult High School offers students an opportunity to earn credits at their own pace with a flexible schedule.
- Clearwater Adult Education Center is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to issue standard high school diplomas.
There is a $45.00 per term tuition fee. There are two terms in a calendar year.
Term 1: June - December
Term 2: January - May
Students attend in person between 4:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Monday-Thursday. We can set up attendance between 8:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. Monday-Friday at SPC Clearwater after meeting with Mrs. Borresen.
Students may enroll at any time.
Some work may be completed at home on a personal computer, but tests must be completed on campus in the presence of the teacher.
Students must meet the same academic requirements as traditional daytime high school students, including:
- 2.0 GPA
- Must pass the State of Florida required testing in reading and math
- Meet content requirements and elective requirements
